Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager. The role will contribute to delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by working on a variety of bus and public transport projects.
• This role will lead and support the planning, delivery and reporting of various schemes to improve bus services in the region. Projects include a mix of initiatives such as bus network and services, fares and ticketing and passenger experience.
• You’ll be working with our local delivery partners to initiate, develop, and assure our programme of schemes across the Mayoral Combined Authority area. Promoting the policies, outcomes and interests of the Mayoral Combined Authority, you will assess and manage change within the programme in partnership with the Programme Manager.
• A confident and fluent communicator presenter in both verbal and written formats, you will be comfortable using your experience in the area making and supporting reports and recommendations to senior managers, stakeholders and governance boards. You will be required to understand and summarise complex technical information for decision makers.
• Managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders across a range of organisations, you will be at home representing the team and Mayoral Combined Authority in prioritising delivery and promoting and exemplifying best practice.
