Assistant Project Manager

Job Introduction

The West of England Combined Authority is seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to join the Capital Delivery team, to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by working on the Zero Emission programme:

  • This role will support the delivery, reporting and monitoring of schemes within the Active Travel and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure programmes of works. The schemes might include a mix of vehicle charging, walking wheeling and cycling, and liveable neighbourhood infrastructure projects.
  • You’ll be working with our local delivery partners to initiate, develop, and assure our programme of schemes across the Combined Authority area. Promoting the policies, outcomes and interests of the Combined Authority, you will assess and manage change within the programme in partnership with the Programme Manager.
  • A confident and fluent communicator presenter in both verbal and written formats, you will be comfortable using your experience in the area making and supporting reports and recommendations to senior managers, stakeholders and governance boards. You will be required to understand and summarise complex technical information for decision makers.
  • Managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders across a range of organisations, you will be at home representing the team and Combined Authority in prioritising delivery and promoting and exemplifying best practice.
