Buildings Decarbonisation Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently hiring to a number of new roles in the Energy Hub. These posts will be part of a team focused on helping organisations to take action on the climate emergency by identifying opportunities to improve the energy performance of the public sector estate across the wider south west, developing decarbonisation action plans and investment proposals. 

You will:

  • Lead the team to deliver our Public Sector Decarbonisation Skills service, funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). 
  • Identify eligible organisations, raise awareness of the support offer and manage the customer journey to understand opportunities to decarbonise, develop plans and secure funding.

 

Crucially, successful candidates will use their experience of building and estate decarbonisation to offer high quality support throughout the development process including options assessment, feasibility, building the business case and initial plans to securing investment. The post holder will work with a wider team of project and technical colleagues to deliver support.

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis to 31 March 2023, with the potential for extension if additional funding is secured.  Secondments from other organisations will be considered.  

Location is flexible within the south west of England.
