Careers Hub Operational Lead (Education)

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity to join the West of England Careers Hub as Operational Hub Lead (Education), part of the West of England Combined Authority’s Business and Skills service. 

 

Joining a well-established Careers Hub of 97 Schools and Colleges, you will lead a team of Enterprise Coordinators and engage key stakeholders to achieve high quality school and college careers programmes. You will co-develop strategies and projects that aim to achieve sustainable system change that enables all young people to take their best next step.  

 

To enable further progression of the Careers Hub we need a talented and passionate leader who will drive impact and success across our strategic priorities and targets.  

 

In this key role you will lead, shape, influence and coordinate the development and implementation of the Careers Hub strategy working closely with the Strategic Hub Lead, Operational Hub Lead (Employers) and wider team of Enterprise Coordinators.     

 

Who are we looking for? 

 

As the Operational Hub Lead (Education) you will use your knowledge and understanding of education and CEIAG, as well as skills to lead a team of Enterprise Co-ordinators and volunteers.  You will embed and lead a strong culture of both performance management and service excellence.  Working closely with the Operational Hub Lead (Employers) you will connect employers and schools ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and resources to work together to deliver mutual benefit. 

 

You will bring a track record of excellent stakeholder engagement, collaboration and influencing ideally in the education sector. Your project and team management skills will enable the team to deliver innovative and creative solutions and projects.  In return, we will create exciting opportunities for you, supporting you to try new ideas and develop your skills. 

 

This is a fixed term appointment, with a current end date of 31 August 2023, but could be longer subject to continued funding.
