Data Protection and Information Governance Manager

Job Introduction

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Data Protection and Information Governance Manager, to join the Legal team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

  • Contributing to the development of West of England Combined Authority Information Governance strategies, policies procedures and guidance to promote "best practice" and consistency across the organisation.
  • Encouraging, promoting, and motivating staff to engage in Information Governance, providing the appropriate support to staff to maintain and improve organisational performance.
  • Managing the processes for handling Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and Access to Records Requests and report performance to the Governance Committee

Are you someone who has considerable experience of implementing monitoring, and reporting processes for statutory purposes and Substantial experience handling sensitive confidential information?
