Environmental Project Officer

Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit a talented Project Officer to join the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority’s growing Environment Directorate.

This is an exciting time to join us. In the last year we have secured nearly three quarters of a billion pounds of new investment for the region; refreshed our Climate and Ecological Strategy and Action Plan; and expanded our environmentally focused Green Recovery Fund to £60m.

To help us and our region tackle the climate and ecological emergencies, we seek passionate people to progress a key work area:

  • Supporting the Funding and Investment Manager in the development of a pipeline of investable decarbonisation and natural environment projects across the West of England
  • Supporting the Funding and Investment Manager in the development of high quality business cases so funding is attracted to viable schemes.
  • Supporting the Funding and Investment Manager in maintaining productive relationships with funders and investors to secure investment in Combined Authority supported environment projects.

This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2026.
