Head of Climate and Nature Delivery – Environment

Job Introduction

The West of England Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Head of Climate & Nature Delivery within the Environment Directorate. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

  • Leading development and delivery for a range of climate and nature programmes and services including Climate Resilience, Sustainable Transport, Engagement, Nature Recovery and Net Zero Energy
  • Managing a team of at least 3 senior environment managers who are responsible for individual delivery
  • Securing new funding opportunities, to develop and maintain a sustainable service focussed on our strategic objectives
  • Collaborating with Combined Authority Service Leads and senior officers within the constituent Unitary Authorities, as well as key senior external stakeholders across the public, private and third sectors
