Job Introduction
Being the lead of the Transport Team of the West of England Combined Authority, the post holder has the exciting position of setting and delivering our Transport Vision by managing and leading key strategic functions including the Joint Local Transport Plan, Bus Strategy, Local Cycling and Walking Implementation Plan, Rail Strategy and Key Route Network
Supporting the delivery of the priorities of the Metro Mayor, the post holder will provide strategic transport advice to the Mayor and the constituent councils and be the Combined Authority’s transport voice inputting to national and regional agendas.
The successful candidate will have proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results on time, can develop credibility and earn confidence of all stakeholders, as well as have proven ability to provide visible, motivating and supportive leadership.
The Combined Authority is adopting a Hybrid Working model approach whereby all staff will split their working week between the office and remote working, as well as fully flexible working patterns.
