Job Introduction
The West of England Combined Authority and North Somerset Council are looking for an experienced Programme / Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of the new Portishead Line, in conjunction the Network Rail.
This is an exciting project for the region. We are reopening the passenger line to Portishead, as well as the delivery of two new stations. The role will work for both organisations, and co-ordinate between all works. Those managed by Network Rail, and associated contracts for highways and ecological works. This role will require an excellent communicator who will report to senior management, Mayor, Leader and elected members.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the delivery of rail projects and contract management. They will also have an understanding of the role of local and combined authorities in infrastructure delivery.
