Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, to join the Analysis and Evaluation team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate evaluator to lead the design and delivery of robust, meaningful evaluations across our Transport Directorate.
Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Mayor by:
- Being expert in evaluation; using your knowledge and experience to lead evaluation work in the area of transport and infrastructure and strengthen practices;
- Developing excellent stakeholder relationships at a senior level;
- Managing a significant portfolio of programme and project evaluations for our transport schemes;
- Pro-actively supporting the organisation to learn from evaluation and take action;
- Synthesising evaluation insights and communicating these to a range of audiences.

The salary for this role is £52,413 - £55,722. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
