PMO Governance & Assurance Manager

Job Introduction

This is an exciting time to join the West of England Combined Authority. We are seeking to appoint a Governance & Assurance Manager to join the PMO in the Infrastructure Directorate. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to help deliver critical transport infrastructure projects that are helping our region to grow, addressing some of our climate change problems, and improving our transport networks. We are delivering with our partners over £1bn of infrastructure projects in rail, walking, cycling, transport technology and bus services.  Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

  • Ensuring projects and programmes across the portfolio have fit for purpose governance and achieve timely decisions to enable successful delivery.
  • Leading on the directorate's decisions, assurance and audit forward plans.
  • Leading on the continuous improvement of the project, programme and portfolio delivery lifecycle and associated tools, processes and knowledge management systems.
  • Deputising for the Head of PMO when appropriate.
  • Providing leadership in the PMO for the reporting team, knowledge management team and PMO analysts.
