Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Principal Transport Operations Officer to join their Integrated Transport Operations Team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
- Supporting the leadership within the team to ensure that we provide high quality information and journey planning tools across the region and beyond to our public transport users
- Developing and managing our Real Time Information (RTI) system and making it a first class service for our passengers
- Ensuring that our information and data systems work well and are optimised so that they compliment and support the systems used by our bus operators
- Helping to deliver exciting new projects funded through our Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) programme
The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in contract and stakeholder management, preferably with knowledge of RTI and other passenger transport technology systems, plus a background in delivering public transport projects.
