Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Procurement Manager, to join the Commercial team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
· Supporting the building and development of a high performing procurement function which is adequately resourced and skilled to meet business needs.
· Developing and managing the portfolio of projects (multi-million/high profile) requiring procurement in your area to ensure we conduct fair, transparent and proportionate procurements.
· Working with Heads of Department and directors to develop Procurement approaches / sourcing strategies for bid submissions to central government to secure funding.
· Managing the supply chain and business continuity risk assessment for the organisation understanding spend profiles and associated risks.
