Regional Outreach Officer (Community Support Fund)

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Support Officer (RSO) to play a key role in supporting the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to deliver projects and activities which support the most vulnerable in our communities to move closer to positive employment skills and training outcomes.

The primary purpose of the RSO is to support community groups to apply for and deliver projects through the Community Support Fund (CSF).

This role will form a pivotal role in the hub and spoke delivery model, working  closely with the central project team within the Combined Authority, local authority partners and with individual projects/VCS groups across the region.  The post holder will support groups in all aspects of engagement, writing proposals, initiating successful projects and evaluation. We’re looking for a self-motivator, somebody who naturally looks for opportunities to bring partnerships together and who can use their strong communication skills to develop strong working relationships and collaborations.

If you have experience of working within the VCS sector around employment and skills related activity this could be a unique opportunity to be part of a programme specifically targeted at supporting those in our communities most affected by COVID.

This is a fixed term contract until March 2023
