Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Retrofit and Green Skills Manager, to join the People and Skills team.
Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by taking a lead on the Retrofit Step Up Project and alignment of wider skills initiatives around the green skills agenda. Previous experience and knowledge of green jobs, skills and training is essential as the postholder will be responsible for maximising the uptake of green skills training (in particular retrofit) and embedding green skills advice, guidance and training into our skills provision and helping us to meet green strategic objectives as set out in the regional Employment and Skills Plan and Climate Emergency Strategy Action Plan (CESAP). A passion to make a difference to the net zero agenda is essential, as is a ‘can do’ and self driven approach to your work with a focus on delivery.
