Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority’s Strategic Innovation Team drives cross-sector innovation across the West of England region, supporting clean and inclusive economic growth and making a real change to the lives of the residents in our region. We work with our colleagues across the Combined Authority and its constituent Local Authorities, and with the region’s diverse and exciting innovation ecosystem, including its universities, and businesses and organisations of all sizes.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced colleague to work within our friendly and ambitious team.
Innovation within the transport system will be the initial focus of this job, supporting transport innovation within the Combined Authority and externally, with a focus on the Future Transport Zone programme.
You don’t need to be an innovation specialist (yet) – it’s your sustained focus on the impact of your work, and your curiosity regarding innovation, that will really set you apart. You will be a confident communicator, focusing on delivery, with the ability to get the team’s message across to a diverse audience.
