Senior Transport Planner

Job Introduction

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Senior Transport Planner, to join the Transport Strategy team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

  •  Supporting the development of transport strategy and policies of the West of 
    England Combined Authority and provide transport policy input into wider 
    strategies, such as the Regional Strategy and the Climate and Ecological Strategy and Action Plan.
    • To develop, manage, progress and deliver transport strategy projects within the region to ensure the Mayoral Combined Authority fulfils its functions as Transport Authority for the West of England.
    • Policies and projects could cover the Electric Vehicle strategy, development of the Joint Local Transport Plan, Rail, Bus and Active Travel strategies, and project management in alignment with the Joint Local Transport Plan.
