Service Manager - Digital and Technology

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We are looking for a proactive, dedicated individual to join the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority as Service Manager – Digital and Technology. Reporting into the Head of Digital, Data and Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that our digital and technology services meet business need and agreed levels of service and that all Combined Authority staff have the right technology and services to carry out their roles effectively.

This is an exciting time to join us – we’ve recently moved into a newly furnished office equipped to support a range of working practices and are developing our new Digital, Data and Technology strategy and future service model. Initially a major focus will be on supporting this work and defining and implementing the service management framework for two key transport projects delivering against Metro Mayoral priorities.

You’ll be a proven digital and technology professional, confident in advising and influencing leaders and key stakeholders, communicating digital and technology concepts in a clear and concise way. You’ll have experience working with a range of suppliers, partners, and services and recognise that technology alone won’t deliver the outcomes we want to see. You’ll know how to get the best out of people and ideally have experience of working in a complex, political or public/third sector environment. You’ll have in-depth knowledge of service management frameworks, processes, and best practices, with a focus on the continuous professional development of yourself and others.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! If you have any questions or if you would like to arrange an informal chat with the Head of Digital, Data and Operations, please contact resourcing@westofengland-ca.gov.uk to find some time to speak.

Interviews will take place in early February 2024.
