Transport Officer

Job Introduction

The West of England Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Transport Officer, to join the Transport Strategy team, working on the Western Gateway sub-National Transport Body programme.  The post is a three year fixed term contract.  This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in projects that cover the South-West region of England, with a broad spectrum of strategic projects.  

The project team is made up of officers from the Combined Authority, Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire councils.  It covers a broad spectrum of work, including developing a Strategic Transport Plan for the wider South-West Region, early business case development for the South-West Freight and Rural Mobility Strategies.  The role involves working closely with the Department for Transport Policy leads, as well as ensuring we meet the needs of our local councils.   Please contact James White if you would like to understand more, alternatively have a look at our website https://westerngatewaystb.org.uk/
