The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Head of Regeneration to join our Place Directorate team.
This is a pivotal opportunity to shape and deliver transformational regeneration across one of the UK’s most dynamic city regions. Reporting to the Director of Place, you’ll lead major programmes that unlock growth, attract investment, and create thriving, sustainable communities for the future.
Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
• Leading the creation of a clear vision, masterplan and delivery strategy for the region’s key growth areas set out in the West of England Growth Plan, aligning housing, transport and environmental ambitions.
• With our partners, driving delivery of nationally significant regeneration programmes, ensuring they deliver real, measurable impact.
• Supporting the development and implementation of a new regional land assembly fund to enable comprehensive, place-led regeneration.
• Establishing robust systems for monitoring, reporting and evaluating projects to demonstrate success and inform future investment.
• Building and strengthening partnerships with Government, local authorities, Homes England, developers and investors to unlock opportunities and accelerate delivery.

The salary for this role is £81, 798 - £89, 415. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
